Hello to my subscribers!
Today I am sharing with you my collection of all-time favorite knock knock jokes for kindergartners. The collection is based on years of helping students this age understand what a joke is and then making sure I give them jokes that they can understand. These are the top picks!
Every year, Miss Lori would prepare the knock knock joke books for all our students (format provided in this link). We would then put a ribbon and a candy cane and a tag on each one of them.
But, we wouldn’t just sent them home. On our Christmas party/winter party day, I’d gather the kids around and, using an extra one, read the book to them, explaining any and all jokes as needed (and laughing all the way!). Doing it this way, I knew, would ensure that the books would be treasured before they were even handed out and actually make it home to be shared with families.
Take a look! If you don’t have books for your students for this holiday, you can use these. If you do, save the file and make a note to include them next year. They’re always a big hit and the jokes are told and retold in the classroom for the rest of the school year.
Sincerely,
Randee
Thank you for your comment! Yes, making sure the kids understand the jokes before taking the gift home really helps them to appreciate it and want to learn how to read them.
This is such a sweet and thoughtful tradition to share with your subscribers! I love how you’ve combined the joy of humor with the personal touch of preparing something special for your students. The idea of reading the knock-knock jokes aloud and explaining them with laughter truly shows the care you put into ensuring the jokes are understood and appreciated. It’s a fantastic way to build excitement and create lasting memories for the students.
