The Collector games are so fun. My students love them every month and since we do the same thing every day of the month, the concepts really stick with them.
Thank you for clarifying 10 cards…I started doing 5 and then moved up to 7, but now I’ll do 10. It will be more fun to compare bigger numbers. Do you always end with 5 of each?
The room erupts with applause! The reason everyone stays so engaged is because they’re watching for the orange and start clapping the second they see it. It happens 90% of the days. If a student doesn’t get the lucky cards, then we clap for that student afterwords and say good try anyway!

It tends to end with five of each, so some days I take out some of the ghosts or some of the witches so they can compare different numbers.
Any thing special happen when they pick the orange ghost or the witch with the pumpkin on the broom?
