Hi!
We’re all well aware that no matter how wonderful our teaching is, our students won’t necessarily learn. Along with delivering content, we need to facilitate our students’ ability to manage themselves and learn to listen and take in information. We can help develop a true, lifelong love of learning. The earlier this can happen—hopefully in kindergarten—the better!
The posts/podcasts I share here all fall into the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) category.
Classroom Vision and Slogan - Being proactive with positive behavior expectations and ownership
Habits of Mind - Building students’ thinking dispositions and resilience
How To Take Charge of Your Kindergarten Classroom - The first day of school or whenever you decide to commit
Let’s Talk Behavior - Philosophy and strategies that lead to your best teaching and ultimate student learning
The video above is not related to SEL. I am just using this opportunity to share a little about my giant phonics scope and sequence document, in case you’re interested and/or need to supplement what you have going on in your classroom.
Let me know if you have questions, concerns, or just something that you want to share. I’m here for you.
Randee
