All the materials--and so much more--are available with a paid subscription. If need be, you can sign up for just a month or two, access all previous posts, see what's available, and email me and ask me for them. I do not sell my materials and they are in a constant state of flux because I am always trying to improve them based on how they worked for my students. They're in a Google folder and so if you get them, you'll get all the updates and new materials added as well.

I would love to start reading folders. Could you please send me the links to these great resources? Thank you!

Absolutely! And remember, you can just email me and ask for stuff. It'll save a step and then I'll know where to send the resources. Not necessary this time though since I have your email address handy. :)

Great questions! I have videos that show all of this in action and I stop during my teaching and talk to you as well to explain what I’m doing and why. I will be posting these as the school year goes on so you can look forward to seeing them at the right time. For now, yes, you can start blending right away. I start about two weeks into the school year but with just two sounds as shown in this video. We start reading folders in October because there is much they have to learn before they can be successful practicing in their folders on their own. https://open.substack.com/pub/busybeekindergarten/p/video-blending-focus-on-the-mouth?r=dzflv&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

Good questions! WWR is not required because I don’t want them to memorize the words (for this reason I don’t send them home to practice). Plus, I want to hear them sounding out to see which letters they might be getting stuck on. Of course, if they do start to whole word read some of the words, it’s perfectly fine. And at this time of the year (February into spring time), I start telling them that it’s okay if they want to just say the word. I tell them that they don’t have to say all the sounds if they don’t need to.
