Hi there! Is there somewhere to get the two-sound blending sheet?

Sure! I have a folder full of those. If you are a paying subscriber you can email me at missbusybeekindergarten@gmail and ask for them. Here, I can't see your last name so I am unable to email them to you right now.

Where can I find the phonemic awareness levels tracking sheet? I love that resource.

Randee, as of right now, what are you doing on Mondays? I know you wrote read and draw, decodable/readable books, etc but what does that look like at the start of these activities? The CVC pages you have shared previously? Will you be posting a video of each day of your small groups?

I used reading folders / word lists / and PA training days with much success last year! I can't wait to see them from the 'start'

Thank you! :)

It will vary, but is often phonics review. And yes, I’ll share short videos from small group instruction each day.

Hello. Do they take a copy of their list home to practice as well? I see them practicing in class and wonder if they practice at home too.

No, I don't have them practice their word lists at home. There is no way their parents will teach them blending sounds anything like the way I do, making it frustrating for both parents and students. Plus, I don't want them to memorize the words, which is what would probably happen if the list was taken home. I actually want to see them saying the sounds and blending (especially at this point in the year). I have done several weeks of blending two sounds at my center leading up to this, so they are pretty good at it. For those who aren't ready, I don't want them moving on to list two--reading CVC words--until they are solid, solid, solid on reading VC words. I did this last school year and the kids moved through the series of lists very well with just practicing at school. The lists are a perfect progression of skills.
